Why Most Conventional Treatment Models For
PTSD And Phobias Tend to Fail Miserably

The current state-of-the-art in mental health services for treating anxiety and its many constituent expressions consists of a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (commonly known as CBT), and mood-altering medications that include such infamous names as Adivan, Buspar, Celexa, Effexor, Inositol, Klonopin, Paxil, Prozac, Wellbutrin, Xanax and Zoloft.

Many of these drugs are in a class of medications known as benodiazepines, which can be both mentally and physically addictive. If you've personally been on any of these medications for any length of time, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Trying to quit these drugs when you've had enough of them is a nightmare experience for most. Just ask anybody who's tried. To quit these drugs, you must do it very carefully, under the constant supervision of an attending physician, and then only over a period of weeks or months.
